PhysioNeeds – Nottingham Sports Injury Clinic – delivers expert assessment, treatment and management of a wide variety of pain conditions, sports injuries, musculoskeletal problems and other complaints.
OUR SERVICES
- Physiotherapy. Our staff have the experience and expertise to diagnose your problem and work with you to resolve it. We can help you recover from injury, reducing your pain and increasing your strength and mobility. We deal with many conditions including back pain, neck pain, arthritis, trapped nerves and rehabilitation after operations or fractures.
- Sports Injuries. Early diagnosis and treatment of your sports injury is crucial to getting you back to your sport as soon as possible. We use hands on treatment, ultrasound and interferential therapy, acupuncture, exercise prescription and gym-based rehabilitation.
- Acupuncture. All our physios are members of the AACP, the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists, and use acupuncture to relieve pain along with physiotherapy.
- Children’s Physiotherapy. We have an experienced and paediatric trained physiotherapist who has been working with children for over 15 years. She provides specialist paediatric physiotherapy for children from new-borns to 16 years of age. Conditions she sees include joint and spinal problems, sports injuries, cerebral palsy, dyspraxia and clumsiness, talipes equinovarus and advice on weight management.
- Respiratory Physiotherapy. We have staff who are skilled in the management or respiratory conditions such as asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis and hyperventilation.
- Orthotics. We can arrange a full assessment for people with recurrent injuries or problems with footwear. This covers children and adults and we can arrange home visits to the neighbouring counties.
- Pilates. We can provide one-to-one Pilates teaching with Pilates-trained physiotherapists and have physio-led classes of up to 6 people.
- Joint Injections. Injections of OSTENIL can be used to lubricate and improve the knee joint mostly but can be used for other joints too.
- Shockwave Therapy. ESWT or extracorporeal shockwave therapy is used mainly to treat tendon problems such as tennis elbow, rotator cuff pain in the shoulder and Achilles tendon pain. It is a non-invasive treatment.
All our physiotherapists are members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) and are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
